New Mexico Chapter 127 History
Chapter 127 was founded in 1980 by a group of USAF Security Policemen who joined with local security professionals. Since that time, we have grown to over 130 members and have helped spawn the Northern New Mexico Chapter 224, many of whose founding members were originally NM 127 members. Our chapter has attained one of the highest ratios of certified members and was a leader in development of certification review programs at the chapter level.
In 2004, NM 127 was awarded "Honorable Mention" in the I.B. Hale Chapter of the Year competition and also won "Honorable Mention" for Newsletter of the Year.
